Groundhog Day was last week and it got me to thinking. First, there’s the groundhog, who chooses to return to his hole or stay above ground dependent on whether he sees his shadow. Then there’s Groundhog Day, one of my favorite movies featuring the amazing Managing Thought tool–the do-over! The character Bill Murray plays, Phil, is forced to live Groundhog Day again and again until he is living in integrity, and makes choices that are in alignment with who he truly is and what he truly wants in life. (If you haven’t seen it, check it out!)
Do you feel like the groundhog – with limited choices dictated by forces outside of your control? Would you like to have Phil’s opportunity to have a do-over, press the reset button on your life and work, and have a fresh start?
I am betting that you do. There’s so much unrest. If you thought it was just you, it’s not. We are entering a new age, more like a new stage, in our evolution. 2012 is the year of new beginnings. We want a fresh start!
We REALLY want to be happy and healthy. We REALLY want to discover and fulfill our purpose. We REALLY want to make a difference. We REALLY want to be inspired and impactful in everything we do.
I capitalize REALLY because that is who we are — REALLY. It is our true nature to be happy, healthy, creative, expansive, inspired, loving, purposeful, and make a difference.
We are all becoming keenly aware that we’re out of alignment. The stories we have created for ourselves and our organizations no longer fit and, with everything moving at such a rapid pace, our brains are not sure what to do about it. They can’t handle the truth (another great movie!)
It’s my honor and mission to help with this shift, the shift to stop relying on our brains for answers, stop re-acting our past, start remembering who we truly are and what we truly want, and creating the next highest vision of ourselves – as individuals and organizations.
I invite you to watch this YouTube video that I prepared. This beautiful, inspiring video sets forth powerful resolutions, intentions, invocations, and affirmations to create a life well-lived and live in integrity. This is an excellent video to watch with family, friends, and team members to start the process of conscious, meaningful living, and living with purpose. I personally watch it for daily inspiration, as a ritual to inspire me to keep my resolutions and remain on purpose with what truly matters to me.
I invite you to read or listen to the Managing Thought book, attend a workshop, or watch the workshop DVD. It’s time. If you have, I invite you to do it again.
There’s a reason that the book received so many best book awards: Two Nautilus Medals, one for Conscious Business and Leadership and one for Enlightenment and Inspiration; The Axiom Business Book Medal for Communication Skills; The Eric Hoffer Award for Philosophical Thought Leadership and two USA News Best Book Awards for Business Motivation and Self-Help. There’s a reason that previous winners of the most recent awards include The Dalai Lama, Eckhart Tolle, and Deepak Chopra.
There is a reason that, in industries that have suffered great loss in the last two years, organizations that practice Managing Thought have achieved record growth.
